On 19 June 2018, the WODC Investigation Committee III presented its report to the Minister of JenV. It concerns the manner in which the internal complaint regarding the influencing of WODC investigations was handled in 2016.

The report, including the ministry's response, was presented to the House of Representatives during the course of the afternoon. The report's conclusions partly affect the WODC and the director of the institute.

WODC director Frans Leeuw submitted his resignation prior to the announcement of the report and issued the following statement:

The reports in the Committee III report "The Notification Justified" regarding the handling of a complaint from a former WODC employee give me cause to step down as WODC director as of 19 July, ahead of my planned retirement at the end of this year. Although I only recognise myself to a limited extent in the (generalising) qualifications concerning my leadership style in particular, I believe that by taking this step I best serve the interests of the institute and its employees.

Attached is the full report and the response from the ministry.
